Your privacy matters to us.

This Privacy Policy describes how Warp Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Shopify application, GST Invoices India, and our website at warpstudio.in (collectively, the "Services").

By installing or using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We are committed to being transparent about what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

What information we collect.

When you install and use GST Invoices India, we access the following information from your Shopify store:

Shopify Store Data & Orders

• Order details including order number, line items, quantities, and amounts
• Order tax information and applied discount codes
• Shipping and billing addresses associated with each order
• Your store's name, address, and merchant GSTIN (as configured by you)
• Product details including titles, SKUs, and HSN/SAC codes you assign

Customer Names & Email Addresses

• Customer full name as entered at checkout
• Customer email address, used to deliver invoices
• Customer GSTIN, if provided by the customer at checkout (for B2B orders)
• Customer billing address for invoice generation

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account details, passwords, or any other sensitive financial credentials. Payment processing is handled entirely by Shopify and its payment partners.

How we use your data.

We use the information collected for the following purposes only:

• Generating GST-compliant PDF invoices for each order placed in your Shopify store
• Calculating the correct GST (CGST/SGST or IGST) based on the customer's and your business's location
• Validating customer GSTINs against the GST portal (for B2B invoicing)
• Delivering invoices to your customers via email on your behalf
• Storing historical invoices so you can download them for filing and accounting purposes
• Generating monthly GST summary reports (e.g. GSTR-1 compatible exports)
• Providing customer support when you contact us about a specific order or invoice

We do not use your data or your customers' data for marketing, profiling, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond the core invoicing functions described above.

Who we share data with.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers' personal information to any third party. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and email delivery services) to operate our app. These providers are contractually bound to use data only to provide services to us, and not for any other purpose.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose data if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid legal process such as a court order or government request.
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

How we store and protect your data.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure hosted within India where possible, and otherwise in data centres that comply with industry-standard security practices.

• Access to data is restricted to authorised personnel only, on a need-to-know basis
• We perform regular security reviews of our infrastructure and application code

Invoice data is retained for as long as your app subscription is active, plus a period of 24 months thereafter, to allow you to access historical records. You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us.

Your rights over your data.

As a merchant using our app, and as someone whose data may be processed by our app, you have the following rights:

• Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or your customers at any time.
• Correction: If any information we hold is inaccurate, you may request that we correct it.
• Deletion: You may request that we delete your data. We will comply within 7 business days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
• Portability: You may request your invoice data in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON).
• Objection: You may object to any processing of your data that you believe is not necessary for the invoicing services we provide.

Shopify and third-party services.

Our app is built on the Shopify platform. By using our app, your store data is also subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

Our app may use the following third-party services to operate:

• Email delivery service: Used to send invoice emails to your customers on your behalf. Only the customer's name, email address, and invoice PDF are shared with this service.
• Cloud hosting: Our infrastructure runs on reputable cloud providers. Data processed by these providers is subject to their respective data processing agreements, which comply with applicable data protection laws.
• GST Portal API: The official government API used for GSTIN validation. Only GSTIN numbers are transmitted.

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, social media trackers, or analytics platforms that collect your customers' personal data.

Cookies and tracking.

The GST Invoices India app itself does not use cookies to track your customers. The app operates within the Shopify admin interface and does not add any tracking scripts to your storefront.

Our marketing website (warpstudio.in) may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand page traffic. These analytics do not identify individual users and do not track users across other websites. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

Children's privacy.

Our Services are intended for use by businesses and adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the features of our app. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:

• Posting a notice in the Warp Studio app dashboard
• Sending an email to the address associated with your Shopify account
• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page

Continued use of our Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
